Is more here than not and I’m getting married to my college sweetheart. It baffles me when I really take the time to think about it. We were stupid, idiot kids - both of us - when we “fell in love”. I use quotation marks because falling in love is a sort of magic - a quick, blink your eyes and it’s gone kind of a thing.

There’s a quote that discusses the differences between being in love and loving someone. The maturity and resilience one has to have to stick around after “being in love has burned away”. And it is very true for us. We rushed into each other while still in relationships with other people- we hurt them because our physical attraction was too strong. But I loved him then - in a childish way yes but a fire has always burned for Sergio.

I can’t believe, I’m sure all the hoodrats from college can’t either, I got Sergio. And he got me. 6 years later who would’ve thought? Life and love work in crazy, mysterious, and magical ways.
